Did you know that there is a team of ladies from Living Waters Church that serve in a women’s federal prison? In addition, there are 2 men from LWC that just completed facilitating an Alpha course in a men's federal prison.
Alpha is currently active in 76 federal and provincial prisons across Canada. Hundreds of prisoners have completed the course through a national network of churches and other faith-based organizations.
Harvest provides specific training and support to churches and organizations in Canada that are willing to partner with and mentor men and women who are newly released from prison. Their growing network of comprehensively trained churches and organizations across Canada, provides a way for the “Church to be the Church”. Harvest is able to link someone from prison to a trained local church that is willing to walk alongside them during their transition back home. This provides an important relational transition from prison to society and provides a continuum of care within the community. All individuals go through an application process prior to being linked to the Harvest network.
