Social Justice Network at LWC

Social Justice at Living Waters is at the core of who we are and how we feel led to live. We are a community that believes we have a responsibility to give because of what we have been given.

We desire to be generous with our time, our energy, our resources, and our finances.

The Social Justice Network exists to shine a light on the needs of our local community, to lend a hand where needed, and to support where necessary. We’ve come to learn that there are many great organizations within our community doing some real Kingdom work and we desire to be a part of it. We desire to understand our community’s needs and we envision a community where people experience the love of God and feel valued through our acts and attention.

The SJN has recognized several areas that need special attention in our community, a few key areas being:

  1. Homeless
  2. Seniors
  3. Newcomers to Canada
  4. Human Trafficking
  5. Vulnerable People

Our hope is to discover organizations within our community who may already be working within these areas and support them. That could look like:

  1. Creating awareness of need and resources available | we will be highlighting organizations throughout the year and providing information to help you get involved.
  2. Encouraging our community members to volunteer
  3. Prayer support
  4. Financial assistance
