What to bring:
Our mission as a Network is:
To provide time and space to grow in intimacy with God, own our identity in Christ and be empowered by Holy Spirit to be a light in our spheres of influence.
The retreat enables women to connect intimately with God and to foster relationships and build long lasting friendships with other women.
This year's theme is Forgiven; we will be having four women from our community share their experience of forgiveness, both being a forgiven one and forgiving others (Lynn Gettel, Christina Bralovich, Marsha Wilson and Fiona Keen). Joanne Knight will be sharing briefly from Scripture around the theme of forgiveness and what it truly means for our lives.
Joanne is passionate about seeing women thrive and becoming all God has called them to be. Over the past 30 years Joanne has ministered to children, youth, young adults and adults in various capacities.
Eleven years ago Joanne entered full time vocational ministry, serving first at Summit Pacific College in the Omega Program and then as Dean of Women. Joanne joined the Living Water's pastoral team in July 2014, overseeing the Women's Network and the Mentoring Network, and more recently LWC's Prison Ministry.
Joanne is loving being a Nana to her first grandchild, Gloira and cannot wait to see how God develops and uses this little girl for His glory!
Our worship leaders for the weekend are: Michelle Stephen and Stephanie Slusar
Michelle has been passionate about leading worship since she was a little girl. She began young - leading at school, then leading worship in churches. When she attended TWU she led at chapels, she also spent several years leading at LWC. In addition, Michelle has led at retreats and conferences. She is honoured each and every time she has the opportunity to lead people in worship.
Michelle graduated from TWU a number of years ago where she studied music, she then worked in the Admissions Depratment, moving to the Student Life Department, becoming a Resident Director. Michelle cares deeply about people knowing Jesus more and serving him with all they have.
Stephanie is passionate about music, design, travel, and creating space for people to live fully in Jesus’ love and light. After graduating high school in 2016, she went on to complete a discipleship training school with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in Australia’s Sunshine Coast.
Over the last several years, Stephanie has gained design experience as a wedding coordinator and is now a freelance interior designer pursuing her love of creating places and spaces that are both beautiful and functional.
