About Our Retreat

Our mission as a Network is:

To provide time and space for women to grow in intimacy with God, to fully grasp our identity in Christ, and be empowered by the Holy Spirit to develop our spiritual gifts.

The retreat enables women to connect with God and with other's in intimate ways, and build lasting friendships.

This year's theme is BELOVED; our speakers are Carolyn Kristjansson and Joanne Knight. They will be sharing from Scripture around the theme of "I am my Beloved's and He is mine".

Carolyn was born in Canada and raised in Brazil, greatly blessed to be the daughter of global workers. She met her husband, Indi, while attending Bible College, and following graduation they spent over a decade involved in ministry in Iceland, including pastoring the church in Indi’s hometown.  Carolyn is the mother of two wonderful bicultural adult children, an associate professor at Trinity Western University, and a certified executive coach.  Above all, she is deeply in love with Jesus and knows firsthand what it means to experience physical and inner healing. Her greatest joy is in helping others on their spiritual journey.

Joanne is passionate about seeing women thrive and becoming all God has called them to be. Over the past 30 years Joanne has ministered to children, youth, young adults and adults in various capcities. Nine years ago Joanne entered full time vocational ministry, serving first at Summit Pacific College in the Omega Program and then as Dean of Women. Joanne joined the Living Water's pastroal team in July 2014, overseeing the Women's Network and the Mentoring Network.

Our worship leaders for the weekend are Victoria Wilkinson and Jennifer Newman

Victoria graduated from TWU and currently works as a Public Health Nurse in White Rock. She has a passion for helping those who are hurting and is specifically passionate about providing opportunities for those who are oppressed in the world. Victoria has played on, and led worship teams since she was a youth. She led a Sunday night worship service at TWU while studying there, and now leads worship at Living Waters. She has experienced the hope and freedom worshipping through music brings, and looks forward to leading others into that place.

Jen is a TWU nursing graduate and specializes in the Emergency department. She is deeply passionate about worship ministry, and the intersection of faith and healing both in an out of the workplace. It is always an honour for her to play a role in facilitating a space to meet with the Father, and this weekend is no exception!
