As our Living Waters community has grown one of our main objectives has been to ensure our sense of community is not lost through our size. We determined early on that instead of building a bigger building we would provide multiple smaller gatherings at our Fort Langley campus. As God continued to build His church we felt impressed to develop a plan to plant churches with the hope of extending the influence of Jesus to neighborhoods around us.
The Willoughby campus is our most recent church plant after our community planted an autonomous church in Burnaby 4 years ago (City Lights). Unlike City Lights, the Willoughby location is not autonomous but is a campus of Living Waters – in other words both the Fort Langley and Willoughby campuses share the same DNA; the same values, leadership structure and share in a number of ministries. Just over a year ago a group of more than 100 people from the Fort Langley campus committed to forming the beginnings of the Willoughby campus and become the nucleus of this new community. Campus pastors Ryan and Katrina Bedwell and Joel and Brandi Reimer are helping to lead this new vibrant expression of the Lord’s church.
As the Lord grows His church, we will continue on a path of healthy and creative church multiplication.
